Free Dental Screening

FREE DENTAL SCREENING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Parents have a lot of things to worry about these days. Paying for dental treatment for your child shouldn’t be one of them. If your child is under 18, you have no dental coverage/insurance and cannot afford to pay for your child to go to the dentist they may be eligible for care under one of these programs provided through the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.

  • Children in Need of Treatment (CINOT) provides care for urgent dental problems like large cavities, pain and  infection.
  •  Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) provides regular dental care (exams, x-rays, fillings, extractions) for low income families.
  • Teens who would benefit from fluoride applications or scaling (cleaning) will receive information/forms on how they can access these services at no cost at a local health unit office.

The Dental Team will be visiting our school on THURSDAY MAY 14, 2015 offering free dental screenings and a smile kit (toothbrush, floss and gum). Please encourage your teen to participate.
